It’s our anniversary this month. My business partner Darren saw a trend in the market three years ago and approached me with this brilliant idea of being an on-demand comms agency. Kind of like the Airbnb of Comms. On demand, people-centric, creative thinking and world-class. 

We previously worked together in DC decided it was high time we worked together again. We developed Amplia Group’s brand and identity over the course of three weeks across two continents and one ocean. Amplia Group officially launched in June 2016. 

We knew that we wanted Amplia Group to be different from the traditional communications firm. In many consulting firms, senior execs win work and junior level staff deliver on a project. Not at Amplia Group. In our agency, we would both pitch and serve our clients. There would be no bait and switch at our agency.

We also wanted to work on projects that made an impact, for clients who wanted to change the world, and with an on-demand team of experts who could be based anywhere and everywhere. Together Darren and I scouted and recruited the best and brightest international communications experts. Collectively, we would go beyond our clients expectations. 

After all, the word amplia is derived from the latin root amplius, meaning “going beyond, to go further.”

Over the past three years, we have worked on a variety of projects to make a difference across industries.

We shift public opinion.

We helped to build a coalition of US businesses to encourage Conservative lawmakers to take positive action on #ClimateChange for the Environmental Defense Fund

We are community builders.

We have raised the profile of a quintessential English market town in a challenging economy, generated coverage in tier one media outlets, built an online community, made beautiful films with our incredible partners @objektfilms, and increased event attendance by the thousands.

We are storytellers.

We helped to empower teams to share their stories + become brand Ambassadors for one of the world’s biggest healthcare agencies.

We are start-up experts.

We helped a leading technology company manage all communications for an acquisition and subsequent merger.

As we celebrate our third anniversary this month, I’m excited and thankful to reflect on the last three years. We have built something unique and that adds tremendous value. All of this borne from a single idea and a lot of passion, professionalism, drive and commitment. I am proud of what we have helped our clients accomplish together.

We’ve teamed up with incredible partners and made fantastic new friends. And we have so much on for the rest of the year.

We are just getting started.
