1 )) In the category of “It’s about time”, Deb Haaland became the first Native American to lead the US Department of the Interior.
2 )) In the same category, Riz Ahmed became the first Muslim to be nominated for a Best Actor at the Oscars. If you haven’t seen Sound of Metal, do so, it’s great.
3 )) The Pritzker Prize is like the Nobel for architecture, and this year’s prize went to a French couple who have never designed a new building. Read the link to find out how.
4 )) In Japan, there is a robot who makes Soba noodles and can serve 150 meals an hour.
5 )) It had to happen eventually. There is now a browser extension that plays a variety of annoying sounds such as construction or a baby crying so that you can beg off of a Zoom call.
